About the Programme
Tamkeen and twofour54's tadreeb media training academy have partnered to launch a unique training programme aimed at developing the skills of young Bahraini nationals to help them progress a career in the creative industries. The programme offers 6 months of specialised training courses across graphic design delivered by highly qualified bilingual instructors with many years of experience in respected media organisations. The programme will also include a 2 month internship programme which will allow the students the opportunity to gain experience within a business and showcase their skills to potential employers.
Running since November 2013, the programme has trained 30 Nationals in two different courses in Graphic Design and Public Relations & Communications, with all students having the opportunity to intern in Bahrain’s leading agencies and newspaper publisher.
Tamkeen was established in August 2006 as part of Bahrain’s national reform initiatives and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and is tasked with supporting Bahrain’s private sector and positioning it as the key driver of economic development.
Tamkeen’s two primary objectives are:
1) Fostering the creation and development of enterprises, and
2) Providing support to enhance the productivity and growth of enterprises and individuals.
